  • Anyone who requires support in their day to day lives, or to carry out activities must bring that support with them.

Description

Wild Ways Well is about getting outdoors and discovering the benefit that spending time interacting with the natural world can have for our wellbeing. Every session is led by an experienced staff member who helps participants to engage with nature in their own way, at their own pace. Most sessions involve some light physical activity (eg a short walk or very light habitat maintenance); a nature/conservation activity (eg bird watching, plant identification, tree stories, nature art/craft, wildflower planting) and then a chance to safely socialise with other people over a hot drink.

We currently have a Thursday afternoon and Saturday conservation garden group; a Friday gentle wellbeing walk; and regular evening and weekend sessions – examples might be evening bat walks, hedgehog surveys, tree planting or celebrating the solstices.

The aim of all our sessions is for everyone to have a relaxing, fun, time in the outdoors whilst helping themselves and the natural spaces we are spending time in.

We also have volunteering opportunities for those who want to take things further.

We can discuss closed groups for specific audiences with partner organisations.
