Who provides this?
- Edinburgh & Lothian Prostate Cancer Support Group – West Lothian Branch
Description
The Group is run by volunteers and they hold 4 formal meetings a year at Crofhead Community Centre Livingston.
All 52 weeks of the year they offer telephone or email links to provide help/information/support from men with experience of all treatments that are on offer for Prostate Cancer. This covers making a decision on treatment
and helping discuss all pre & post treatment matters and the invitation to talk to men at the meeting. The meetings also offer partners to discuss issues around the PC diagnosis issues with ladies in the Group Membership. They also act on behalf of men over NHS Service issues as they have a close link with the Nursing Team & Consultants at the Western General Hospital. All new members are allocated a ‘host’ to see them through their journey.
