Who provides this?

  • Polbeth Community Counselling

Polbeth Community Counselling service supports adults over the age of 18, living working or studying across West Lothian. All counsellors are fully qualified or in final stages of professional training.

We all at some times in our lives experience difficulties or problems where we can feel unable to cope, depressed, anxious, alone or feeling we cannot see our way out of the situation.

It is often hard to speak to family and friends, not wanting to worry them or concerned about feeling judged by them. At these times it can be helpful to speak to someone professionally who will listen and understand and accept us as we are, without judgement.

Counselling gives you the opportunity to find out more about yourself and how to deal with your difficulties. Through listening and responding in a caring, accepting and honest way, the counsellor helps you to explore those difficulties and issues that are troubling you.
