The IMPACT Project provides free training and resources to workers and volunteers from the Third Sector and the NHS about the adverse effects on mental health of smoking tobacco.
As well as the training available on smoking and mental health, IMPACT also provides a free continuing professional development session for NHS smoking cessation staff. All training is currently provided online through Zoom. When allowed, there will be regular sessions delivered at its offices in Frederick Street, Edinburgh and the team can also deliver training to organisations in their own premises. ASH Scotland offers a one and two-hour session. The CPD session also lasts 2-hours. The IMPACT website also contains a resources page with a variety of materials about smoking and mental health which can be downloaded.
