People with lived experience of alcohol or drug use are being invited to share their views as part of a new project aimed at improving support services across West Lothian.

The West Lothian Recovery Service is supporting the West Lothian Alcohol and Drug Partnership to gather anonymous feedback through a series of lived experience interviews. The project is being carried out by trained peer interviewers who understand the importance of creating a safe and supportive space for people to speak openly.

The feedback collected will help local services better understand what is working well and where changes could make a difference for people accessing support.

People can choose the way they would like to take part, including:

  • Face-to-face interviews
  • Telephone conversations
  • Completing an online form

Anyone interested in taking part can contact Community Addiction Services on 01506 282845 to arrange an interview.

By sharing their experiences, local people can play an important role in shaping future alcohol and drug services in West Lothian.
