Do you want to help make your community more dementia-resilient?

Come along to Dementia and Social Connection training with Befriending Networks to learn how to plan and deliver dementia-friendly events, activities and services.

The one-day course blends research, case studies and practical advice with lots of opportunities for discussion and peer learning.

In the course, you will:

  • Deepen your understanding of dementia and the importance of social connection for people living with the condition
  • Learn how to deliver inclusive events and activities
  • Get tips for supporting volunteers to build and sustain relationships with people living with dementia
  • Identify your next steps for offering a dementia-resilient service for your community

The course is CPD-accredited and includes access to the Connected Lives Good Practice Guide, a new dementia training resource created for the project.

Connected Lives training is free and open to staff and volunteers at third sector organisations based in Scotland who want to feel more confident supporting people living with dementia.

Places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.
